It’s tidytuesday again. This time the dataset contains all tennis grand slams winners and participations. Find the code here. This time I tried to visualize the history of Rafael Nadal, the king of the French Open. The first visualization depicts the placements of the most successful players in the last two decades: Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. Nadal won the French Open on his very first attempt. It was the beginning of an amazingly successful career at the French Open.

For the second plot, I tried to visualize who the most efficient and successful players in the French Open were. It turned out that Björn Borg won more than half when he participated in the French Open. The most efficient player however remains Rafael Nadal. He won 11 times and only particpated 14 times. The only player that comes anywhere close to his efficiency is Chris Evert.
